Las Vegas Real Estate Market Report – August 2023 Local home prices for single family homes remains remarkably stable, while prices for condos and townhouses reached an all-time high.  We can attribute that to the demand for lower-priced housing options exceeding our supply.  Mortgage rates are obviously a factor, but we’ve been saying all year, the biggest challenge we face in the local housing market is a very tight housing supply.  This presents a good opportunity for those thinking about putting their home on the market. In May, local home prices increased from the previous month, though they are still well below their all time peak set one year earlier. Prices have now increased for a couple of months in a row heading into what is usually our strongest selling season. It seems safe to say that we’re bouncing back from the bottom of this recent downturn.
